Choosing Hospitality Pillows for Your Property

The focal point of any guest room is the bed. A huge part of the experience you provide for your guest is the sleep experience. Tired pillows will not contribute to a better way to stay.

When it comes to your guests, everything should revolve around a good night’s sleep.

Hospitality Down Pillow — Cambric Down Pillow

Give your guests all the comforts of home and more with high quality pillows! Some of the more popular types of pillows are down and down alternative. A popular down pillow offered at InnStyle is the Cambric Down Pillow, and a great down alternative pillow that InnStyle recommends is the InnStyle Primasera ™ Down Alternative Pillow.

What are the standard pillow sizes?

• Boudoir Pillows – 12×16 can be used as travel pillows or to accent the bed

• Standard Pillow – 20×26

• King Pillow – 26×36

• European Squares – 26×26 – also called Continental. These are large pillows used propped up against the headboard for support or just for their visual effect.

• Neck Rolls – or bolsters are tubular pillows designed to support the head and neck while resting. The shape makes a nice decorative accent. The sizes vary.

InnStyle offers a wide variety of pillows with the needs of rental properties, bed and breakfasts, hotels, inns, etc in mind. InnStyle has account managers who can help customers choose the pillows that will best fit their needs. Contact an InnStyle for more information. They can be reached at 267-354-6020 or 800-877-4667. Choosing Comforters for Your Hospitality Property

The bed linens offered in the rooms of your property say a lot about the level of hospitality. Creating a comfortable luxurious setting builds an environment to help your guests enjoy their stay.

So, how do you pick a comforter?

Down or Down Alternative?

Hospitality Duvet Inserts — Snow White Down Duvet Insert

Goose down is a much better down than duck down. The larger clusters fluff up to better produce down is unique insulating quality, keeping you warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. Down alternative is a good choice for those who are concerned about allergies with the weight and warmth of a down comforter at a lower price.

What is fill power?

Fill power is a measure of the volume filled by an ounce of down. The greater the fill power, the more the down will loft – or expand – and trap air. Comforters of the same weight may have different fill powers. The average fill power is 500. Fill power of 550-650 is considered high.

InnStyle offers a wide variety of comforters for the needs of all types of properties. You will find a variety of cozy comforters for less.

Please give InnStyle a call and speak with one of their account managers. They would be happy to help answer any questions you may have and offer their own advice. InnStyle can be reached at 267-354-6020 or 800-877-4667. Their website is https://www.innstyle.com/.

Choosing Sheets for Your Hospitality Property

Not only does a well-dressed bed look luxurious, it makes the entire room appear more inviting practically guaranteeing a deeper, more restful sleep.

Here are a few things to keep in mind while you look at sheets for your hospitality property.

What is thread count for sheets?

Whenever you hear people talking about hospitality sheets, the subject of thread count is bound to come up. Technically, it is a measure of how many threads are woven into one square inch of fabric. It may seem like a small detail, but in fine linens, details make a big difference. The higher the thread count, the softer and more comfortable the sheet. Good quality sheets start at 180 thread count, 200 and higher is considered premium. Of course, the cotton used is also very important in the softness of the cotton used in the sheet.

InnStyle’s sheets are available in a variety of thread counts. They have high quality 100% cotton and cotton blend sheets for your property at an economical value. The most popular sheet offered at InnStyle is their InnStyle 600 Wrinkle Free Sheets.

Please contact InnStyle about any questions or comments you may have. Their account managers would be happy to help and offer their own product recommendations about what products work best specifically for your property. Save Hospitality Linens from Stains

Time is of the Essence so the earlier you catch a stain and treat it, the better your chance of removing it. Different types of stains require different treatments and often times regular household solutions can be the key to removing stains.

Why not prevent stains before they happen by discouraging your guests from creating stains in the first place. InnStyle offers amenities such as InnStyle Make-up Removers so your guests aren’t tempted to use towels or light colored wash cloths for removing their makeup.

Here are a few ‘tips’ we call Simply Spotless:

1. Find stains immediately
2. Determine what kind of stain it is – if possible
3. Pre-treat oil-based and fresh stains before washing
4. Use cleaning solvents in a well ventilated area
5. If stains remain, treat again
6. Avoid washing & drying if you are not sure the stain is out
7. Test bleaches before using them in the wash
8. Do not use vinegar on acetate materials
9. Do not use chlorine bleach on wool or silk
10. Prevent stains from happening

Bed Bug Protection for Hospitality Properties

Reduce the occurrence and impact that bed bugs can have on your business.

Luggage bags are a common method of transporting bed bugs from one location to another, especially for airline travelers. When an infested luggage is placed on a bed, bed bugs will look to hide under the bed during daylight hours and make their presence felt in the evening darkness.

Consider having luggage racks in your rooms to discourage guests from using beds for unpacking their luggage.

The favorite locations of bed bugs are mattress foundations (box springs) followed by mattresses and then other areas of the room that can provide shelter away from the light. Examples of these are: padded headboards, underneath furniture and behind wall hangings.

Consider fully encasing your mattress foundations (box springs) and your mattresses with a product that is bed bug bite proof and entry proof. This product should also be waterproof since most mattress warranties can be voided if the mattress has stains. An excellent example of a product satisfying these requirements is Bed Care Encasements.

You should also consider spraying a product in your rooms, such as Natural Bed Bug Spray, which is made with natural ingredients.

InnStyle has both of those products available, as well as other products that provide bed bug protection. Please give them a call at 267-354-6020 or 800-877-4667 and speak with one of their account managers.
