InnStyle Wishes Chuck Roller a Happy Retirement

Geoffrey Chaucer once said “All good things must come to an end”, and here at InnStyle that saying has gained a new meaning for us. This July, we had to say farewell to our beloved general manager Chuck Roller, who has been such an integral part of InnStyle for over 45 years. He started with the company fresh out of Delaware Valley University in May of 1974 and has been committed to its success ever since.

Chuck has made many sacrifices for InnStyle and regularly put the company before anything else. He prided himself on his relentless work ethic and dedication and lead the team by example when it came to working hard and staying motivated. When we received a truck shipment of our infamous 600 Wrinkle-Free sheets on short notice, Chuck didn’t hesitate to show up around 7am and lead the way in unloading the truck shipment. He even ordered pizza for everyone who was there with him to unload the truck. Chuck has such a deep love for helping others, whether his customers or his co-workers. One of our team members has a daughter who lives in Florida, and her car had broken down while driving. She had called to tell her mom because she had no other family in the state. In true Superman fashion, once Chuck caught wind of what had happened on his own journey down to Florida, he drove out of his way to help her and make sure she was alright.

Chuck has worked hard to forge and maintain positive relationships with our vendors and conference associates at AIHP and PAII, and ALP and has gained a reputation for being a very kind, caring, honest, and dependable leader of our team here at InnStyle. After building a particularly strong friendship with the owners of the Iris Inn, he and his wife Karen were invited to their retirement celebration at their inn located in Virginia. They celebrated, relaxed, and enjoyed their time together, catching up and sharing laughs while finally staying at the inn he had been working with for decades.

Chuck has a fun reputation within InnStyle and his team by being his warmhearted and silly self, sometimes being referred to as ‘Uncle Chuck’ due to the way he cares about everyone here like we are a part of his own family. He is known around the office for his practical jokes and corny puns.  He always shows up for all of us here, whether it is advice, words of wisdom, a shoulder to cry on, or a classic Chuck joke (we call them Chuck-ism’s). Although we know he will miss the team and his customers who have become his dear friends over the years, we more than reciprocate that sentiment and will miss him more than words can describe. We wish Chuck the best in his retirement and hope his days are filled with peace and joy as he fishes, hunts, and sits by his fire pit with his beloved wife, Karen.
