Believe it or not, there is a good amount of hospitality products that are made in the USA. While many are still produced overseas, it is nice to see that consumers can still purchase some great quality linens for their property or personal homes right here in the United States. This blog will provide a brief history of where the production of hospitality supplies has been over the years and mention InnStyle products that are made in the United States.
Many products originally used to be made in the United States, but as time passed, many manufacturers moved their operations to places like China, India and Pakistan, arguing that consumers wanted lower prices and the cost of goods and salaries in the U.S. were becoming prohibitive.
Recently, however, it seems like more consumers are asking for goods made here in America. Manufactures have long been aware of this, but faced a tricky situation: Once they’ve set up plants overseas, it’s hard to resume operations in the U.S.A.
But many of these manufacturers are beginning to come back, with others – aware of the demand for “Made in the USA” goods – opening new plants.
American-made products are being touted throughout the marketplace. You’ll see the “Made in the USA” label on manufacturers’ websites, or on the items themselves.
It’s something the White House has really begun promoting this year.. In July, they hosted companies in Washington D.C. for what was touted as the “Made in America Product Showcase.”
It was meant to celebrate every state’s commitment to produce American-made products, from Gibson guitars (Tennessee), to Campbells Soup (New Jersey), to Stetson hats (Texas).
InnStyle is trying to feature as many “Made in the USA” hospitality supplies as they can, while continuing to look for products that fit your needs in terms of quality and price.
They have added a “Made in the USA” section to their website to help make it easier for shoppers to find these products.
